The position of Executive Chef, which I held in prominent downtown Charleston, SC restaurants for more than 15 years, is something I am extremely proud of. I held one position there for over 11 years; that takes serious passion, patience and commitment to hard work and leadership, as well as attention to detail and sense of urgency. Only restaurant owners can appreciate that feat.
Moving on from my long tenured post at my former employer, I then transitioned quickly within the company I transferred to from Executive Chef to Director of Development as they were a fast-growing group building multiple restaurants and in need of a Construction Owners Representative.
Regarding passion, I have always had as much passion for food, service and providing a memorable experience for my guests as I have had for making improvements to or creating a restaurant facility that is not only beautiful but works properly and stands the test of time. Being intimately involved not only as a chef, but also as an owner’s rep in the building of new restaurants as well as the renovations and improvements of existing restaurants, inspired me to create RCS. What I have created is a company truly dedicated to the specific needs of restaurant owners.
The amount of thought that goes into making one dish not only delicious and lovely to look at, but also memorable, pales in comparison to the task of designing and constructing a restaurant that checks all the following boxes: It must be aesthetically beautiful and clean, it must be highly functional and it must be tough enough to withstand the traffic of tens of thousands of guests, staff and members of management using equipment and facilities and traversing means of egress. It must also contain well thought out air quality systems that provide a comfortable interior environment for guests and staff.
As our name suggests, Restaurant Construction Specialists is a company tailored to the needs of restaurant owners. As a team, we have decades of not only hands on restaurant experience, but also hands on restaurant construction experience. There is simply no one in the construction industry that can compete with our level of expertise.
